Milana

 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub, an American actor and comedian is often referred to as Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub. She was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and started her career as an actress as a young person soon after her move to the United States. Her appearances as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials from 2013 until 2016 - and in 2020 - have made her famous. Her commercial appearances were not the only thing she appeared in. She was also a part of the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She was also regularly featured in the NBC drama This Is Us 2016-2017. Vayntrub was originally chosen to play the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, has voiced the character since. Vayntrub was Jewish born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. When she was two years old her parents and she moved to the U.S. as refugees to escape antisemitism, settling in West Hollywood. At the age of five she began to appear in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was partly due to economic hardships in her family. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. After her sophomore year, she dropped out and earned a GED. She continued however to earn an undergraduate degree in Arts Communication degree from the University of California San Diego. She was introduced to improv comedy through the Upright Citizens Brigade.
